For Our Clergy
It is our priority to keep the door of communication open with the religious leaders and service providers in our community to help you stay in touch with your parishioners when they are a patient at Jameson.

 

We have created a system to organize patients by the parish that they belong to so that you can call us to find out how many of your congregants are current patients. As a member of our clergy, you can efficiently retrieve room numbers of the individuals that you wish to visit and pray with when you arrive to the hospital by visiting the Guest Services Desk.

 

Patient privacy and HIPAA is also our priority. Please be aware that we can only give patient names and room numbers to members of the clergy who are ordained and registered in our system. We request that you wear your Jameson Health System name badge when on hospital property to identify yourself. If you are not registered and/or need a name badge, please visit the Guest Services Desk.

 

Reverend Grace Basham succeeded Revered Dennis Bupp this year. A New Castle native, Reverend Basham graduated from Geneva College and earned her master of divinity degree from Pittsburgh Theological Institute.  She served an internship under Reverend Bupp, who retired in October after thirty years. Reverend Basham also serves as the Jameson Hospice Bereavement Coordinator. Reverend Basham works closely with our clergy members and would like to extend an open invitation for all clergy members to know her personally and work together to accomplish one another’s respective goals. Your voice is very important to us. Your opinions and recommendations to further enhance services at Jameson based on the needs that have been communicated to you by your parishioners are an integral element of our evolution and development moving into the future. We have a standing open invitation for all members of the clergy to participate in our Pastoral Care Committee. This year, Jameson hosted a reception to thank our community’s clergy for the services that they provide through our Health System. We also took the opportunity to share the new service enhancements that Jameson has seen over the past year, including: corneal transplants, lower limb salvage & reconstructive surgery, bariatric banding weight loss surgery, stereotactic breast biopsies, vascular surgery and minimally-invasive lumbar decompression. A health fair was provided in the hospital lobby by all of the service departments of the Health System, especially for our clergy. Tours of the hospital were also provided.
