Location is Key

Lawrence County is conveniently nestled closely between Pittsburgh and Cleveland. You can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of our town and be in the big city in less than an hour. Many from our community also enjoy the shopping and dining in nearby Boardman, Ohio that is less than 20 minutes away. Our community is also minutes away from a variety of Interstates including I-376 to Pittsburgh, I-79 and I-76 Turnpike to Ohio or Harrisburg. Our area is characterized by low tax rates and cost of living as compared to nearby counties.

World Class Arts

We are privileged to have some of the country’s most anticipated performances travel right to our town.  The world-renowned Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra with Marvin Hamlisch as their conductor frequents the Scottish Rite Cathedral to present the same performances that they display in Vienna, Budapest and at the most known houses throughout the world.  Our own New Castle Playhouse features productions directed by well-known artists such as Michael Cavalier. The Celebrity Series at Westminster College “Bringing the Best in World Entertainment to the Campus and the Community” features monthly performances such as “Franc D'Ambrosio Broadway,” “1964… The Tribute (Beatles)” and much more.
