185 Jameson Health System employees were honored this year at the Annual Service Awards Reception celebrating 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 years of service. An impressive evening of talent and laughter was enjoyed by the celebrated employees and their loved ones with health system leadership represented by the Board, Physicians and Management to share in the appreciation of these loyal individuals and their commitment to living the Jameson Health System values.
Our Dedicated to Excellence Employee of the Year Award and The Anne K. and Warren J. Hoye Award for enhancing the health and wellness of our local region through healthcare innovation are two very special honors that are presented at the JHS Service Awards Reception each year. Last evening, these three deserving women were the honorees.
Jane Beight and Debbie Thompson received The Hoye Award for concept initiation and progressive development of the Jameson Women’s Center. Their strong vision and leadership have led the Center to rapidly evolve offering digital mammography, the most effective and accurate method to detect early breast cancer as well as implementation of stereotactic, ultrasound-guided and vacuum-assisted breast biopsies, the most minimally invasive leading-edge techniques that are performed by the respected and admired Dr. Terri-Ann Gizienski. These critical components of the Center drove the successful recruitment of Dr. Majed Maalouf, plastic/reconstructive surgeon specializing in breast surgery and total breast reconstruction. Debbie and Jane have invested their hearts and souls in developing the Jameson Women’s Center to become a comprehensive breast health center offering the latest technology with strong physician and staff talent. As a result, our local region is granted life-saving breast health services that are close to home. Jane and Debbie continue the vision as the Jameson Women’s Center evolves with plans for specialized cardiac health services for women, and much more to come.
