The Jameson Health Care Foundation will celebrate the third annual Paint the Town Pink: JHS Fashion Show & Women’s Expo on Sunday, October 21st from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The New Englander Banquet Center in Neshannock Township, 3009 Wilmington Road, New Castle, PA 16105. The annual event with a mission to spread awareness to prevent and most effectively treat breast cancer continues to evolve – this year featuring a local retailer fashion show. It’s an afternoon of healthy fun and fashion for a close-to-your-heart cause.
The free event that is open to the public kicks off at 1:00 p.m. with Hot 101’s AC & Kelly, live as the event’s emcees. The Women’s Expo will feature local businesses, including: ACTS, Inc., Answering with Care, The Center for Wound Healing, Chiropractic Healthcare, The Claire Brown Shoppe, C. J. Cochran Day Spa & Salon, Cookie Lee Jewelry, Diane’s Boutique, Inspired Tees, Lorelei's Dance Wear, Mary Kay Cosemetics, Mona's Chocolates Mrozek Financial, One in a Million Beads, Paparazzi Styles by Bess, Pro Fitness Plus, Sabika, Inc., Scentsy, Silpada Designs, Take Shape for Life, Tastefully Simple, Thirty-One and UNITY: A Journey of Hope.
Attendees will visit the JHS Doctors’ Corner featuring live Q&A with female, women’s health physicians: Terri-Anne Gizienski, M.D., Kelly Palumbo, M.D. and Sonia Panesar, M.D. Live entertainment will be provided by C& Z Gymnastics & Cheer Academy, Jennifer Leigh’s Dance Gallery, Rocket to the Stars first-year champion - Ren Capri and the New Castle Playhouse Mini Stars. Majed Maalouf, M.D., Plastic Reconstructive Breast Surgeon will provide an overview of the Jameson Women’s Center and Jameson Health System President and CEO, Mr. Doug Danko, will unveil the health system’s 2012 Pink Glove Dance video featuring hundreds of JHS employees spreading awareness of the importance of the early detection of breast cancer. At 2:30 p.m., the JHS Fashion Show will commence featuring local retailers and models with a special Breast Cancer Survivor Finale honoring local survivors with a surprise live performance.
Among the festivities will be a luxury Chinese and Silent Auction with baskets donated by local businesses and JHS employees. Refreshments will be served, including Pizza Joe’s-sponsored pink lemonade served on the pink carpet. Commemorative t-shirts featuring top-tier P.I.N.K. sponsors will be sold at the event, including a unique version for breast cancer survivors.
Proceeds from Paint the Town Pink benefit the Jameson Women’s Center providing complete breast cancer care including digital mammography, stereotactic and minimally-invasive breast biopsy, breast surgery and breast reconstruction.
