Jameson Hospital Joins With The State Offering "Freedom From Smoking" Program

If you or a loved one is ready to quit using tobacco, help is available. Jameson Hospital -- in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Northwest Pennsylvania Tobacco Control Program -- are offering a free, six-session Quit Smoking Program. The first session begins Tuesday November 6th.


The Program series consists of six, one-hour sessions on November 6th, November 13th, November 20th, November 27th, November 29th and December 4th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Jameson Hospital South Campus, 1000 South Mercer Street, New Castle, PA 16101 in the Administrative Conference Room on the first floor.

“This is a proven program to end tobacco addiction, and we are very pleased to offer this free program to the residents of our local region,” comments Charlane Verdi, RN, BSN, Director of Staff and Community Education at Jameson Hospital.

There is no charge for participation in the program offered by Jameson Health System, the Northwest PA Tobacco Control Program and the PA Department of Health.
