The Jameson Junior Guild Will Host the 47thAnnual Bazaar
New Castle, PA – October 28, 2011 – The Jameson Junior Guild will host its 47thAnnual Bazaar on Thursday, November 3rdfrom 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Jameson Hospital North Campus lobby and dining rooms, 1211 Wilmington Avenue, New Castle, PA. The Bazaar will feature homemade candy, books, baked goods, “New to You” gently used items and antiques and hand-crafted holiday specialty items made by the Ladies of the Boutique along with representation of Hospice and the Remembrance Fund. The Cook’s Choice IV, Family Edition, has contributors of not only Guild members but also the entire Jameson Health System employee/physician family and will be available at the Bazaar.
There will be a handmade, Amish-quilted Quilt Drawing and Chinese Auction beginning at 2:00 p.m. Community visitors attending the Bazaar will be reserved a parking lot, as directed by Volunteer Event Staff. Shuttle service will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with event staff available for assistance.
Jameson Junior Guild Ways and Means Chairwoman, Jean Kaba comments, “The Guild works hard year round to prepare for this annual event.” Bazaar proceeds go toward the “$1 Million Dollar Facelift” to beautify Jameson Health System facilities with new lighting as well as new carpeting and flooring throughout the facilities including Jameson Care Center, Jameson Rehabilitation Center and Jameson Hospital.
Diana Whittaker, Guild Member and PAHA - Pennsylvania Association of Healthcare Auxiliaries - Vice President said, “The Jameson Junior Guild is one of the largest auxiliary hospital contributors in the state. In the Northwest Region of PAHA, the Jameson Junior Guild has given the most money to their hospital out of 14 auxiliary member groups for at least the last three years (2008-2010).”
