Physiatry

Physiatry is a branch of medicine which aims to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments or disabilities. Physiatrist is a physician specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation using non-surgical approaches to problems such as arthritis, tendinitis, back pain and work-related injuries using exercise, prosthetics, and modalities such as heat, water and mild electrical current.
